Outdoor Drum Jam: July’s Co-ed Drum Circle

For JULY ONLY, the co-ed drum circle will be on the 2nd Friday of the month. We will meet outdoors at Cherokee Park in West St. Paul, MN, weather permitting. The drum circle will focus on the tongue and frame drum.

Talking Drum Workshop with Fatawu

Sat, May 6th: 2 - 5 pm

This workshop will focus on two iconic drums from the northern region of Ghana. Participants will learn about the drums, their history, and how they are used by the Dagbamba tribe. Fatawu will teach playing techniques and the repair and maintenance of the instruments. This is a very unique opportunity, the first time that the WDC is partnering with an expert for this instrument!
