PAST WORKSHOPS

Join us for a four-week Taiko drumming series!

This exhilarating four-part co-ed class series is structured to teach basic taiko form (kata), rhythms, and a bit of history. Sandi Likely of Taikollaborative will be leading this series. Taiko is the Japanese word for drum and refers to the modern style of playing these drums. Wadaiko (in Japan) and kumi daiko (in North America) is movement infused, heart-pounding, dynamic group drumming.

Prerequisite: No drumming experience is necessary, drums and bachi are provided.

Level: Beginner

Four Wednesdays: September 4, 11, 18, & 25

Time: 6:30-8:00 pm

Cost: $95

Series open to all gender identities.

Class size is limited; preregistration is required.

Mondays: 8/5, 8/12, 8/19 from 7:15pm to 8:15pm.

8/26 Showcase Performance, 8pm to 9pm

Cost: $60.00

For women 16 and older. On the last day of class, 8/26, the students will offer a Showcase Performance. Come cheer them on and join us for fun drum music and refreshments...all are welcome!
