This will be a combo of demonstration and hands-on, working with the WDC’s kits, Moss will demonstrate how to responsibly dismantle, maintain, reassemble, and tune the drumkit. Participants can photograph and take notes as the demonstration proceeds. This will include:
Toning the bearing edges of the shells
Cleaning out dust and grime
Cleaning the shells – interior and exterior differences
Applying white lithium grease to the lugs to prevent rust and wear
Installing and breaking in new heads
Reassembling the kit
Tuning methods to apply proper tension and prevent breakage
