A Mother Drum Will Keep the Beat All Day!


A central "Mother Drum" will pulse through the entire event, symbolizing unity and keeping us all connected as we drum together.

We'll track donations throughout the day—every contribution brings us closer to our goal. Social media online interaction too, perhaps live feed?

There are several ways for you to help us reach our fundraiser goal throughout the day.

  • Donate $15 per hour you drum

  • Set an individual goal and fundraise toward it to keep the rhythm going

  • Leverage activity-based donations to make every beat count

  • Participate in (or nominate a drummer for) a Drum Dare Challenge

COMM TEAM – HERE’S THE MORE DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT FOR REFERENCE. We’ll need to encourage people to donate individually, virtually, or register to attend. 

SHORTENED MARKETING LANGUAGE: Drumathon is our community rhythm marathon 🥁—a day of steady grooves, shared energy, and support for women finding their voice through drumming.

ACTIVITIES TO GET PEOPLE EXCITED: (These are activities that can be shared in social media posts, newsletter, event description, and/or other promotional materials to encourage people to donate throughout the event and/or from afar):

Activity-based Donations: Make Every Beat Count!

Choose a fun theme (jungle, ocean, heartbeat) for a 5-minute jam session. Up to 10 of these available per hour..

❋ $10 – Name That Rhythm

Pick a challenge (play blindfolded, use only one hand, speed round, try the Whitney Houston challenge, etc.).

❋ $25 – Drum Dedication

Dedicate a drum solo to someone special, announced during certain times throughout the 12 hours. We’ll share the solo to our social media (unless instructed otherwise).

❋ $100 – The Drumstorm Challenge

Request a specific drum style for the group to play for 10 minutes. Up to five of these available per hour.

❋ $50 – Power Play

Get your name or message displayed as a Rockstar on our Rockstar Donor wall at the Women’s Drum Center for up to three months!

❋ $250+ – Drum Honor Wall
