No doubt about it. It has been a long winter. Like many, I long to lean up against a tree, wiggle my toes in the grass, and look up at a blue sky through the green leaves rustling in the breeze. Warm weather can't come soon enough!
There may be snow on the ground still but that doesn't mean we can't welcome spring by honoring our tree friends. Let's drum on the instruments that they gave us. Let's dance! Let's sing! Let's gather together and share stories!
One of my favorite things to do is to lean up against a tree in a park and read a good book. Afterwards, I place my hand on the tree and thank it for supporting me as I sat, and also protecting me from getting sunburned. I thank it for providing the book I thoroughly enjoyed reading.
Join us at the Honoring the Trees Drum Circle and drum beat away those winter blues! Together, with hearts full of gratitude, we can become centered yet connected to all that is around us.
